Parents Information
We appreciate the parents that have supported the
youth ministry. We want to continue developing a family-friendly
ministry, where we partner with parents to effectively
impact the lives of teenagers.
We have a defined strategy with quality programs
that assist students in their spiritual growth. Our
goal is the same goal God has for all Christians and
that is to grow into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
Let me emphasize the word “assist” because
I know that one’s spiritual growth isn’t
solely dependent our on student ministry. I believe,
with all my heart, we have some of the best teaching,
discussion groups, practical tools, and spiritual growth
opportunities around. If a student wants to grow in
his/her faith we can help at any place in their spiritual
journey.
We want to do everything that we can to keep you
aware of the activities of the youth group. Each month
we make a schedule available for students to take home
and will be available under the “Events Link” on
the Youth Ministry Homepage. Its purpose is to inform
you and remind them of the events that we are holding
that month and in the future. We know that to have
a strong ministry, we must communicate with parents
as much as possible.
Developing a Family-friendly
Youth Ministry is a Priority at Midway Baptist Church
- We desire to communicate with parents as much
as possible to keep you informed about the youth
group services and activities.
- We desire to promote partnership with parents,
helping them in areas that we have mutual interest.
Our goal is to see our students grow in their faith
and to provide environments to help facilitate that
growth.
- However, with just two or three hours a week it is
impossible for us to do that alone. We have occasional
meetings, which are designed to help us come together
with parents to help them in any way possible.

in a meaningful relationship with God (Evangelism) and fellow believers, as
an active participant in the ministries of Midway Baptist Church (Edification),
and ultimately in fulfilling Lord’s work worldwide (Equipping).

Youth Ministry Goals
Youth-oriented Services
(Sundays & Wednesdays)
Environment: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, & Ministry
Description: Weekly opportunity to make prayer, praise, and practical teaching
a main priority for teen students and their peers.
Home Bible Studies
Environment: Fellowship primarily, Spiritual Growth, Worship
Description: A must for every teen, these small groups are a key to seeing
our students established in godly relationships. These cells include relationship
building, small group interaction, and praise.
Special Activities
Environment: Evangelism primarily, Fellowship
Description: Events geared specifically to reaching those who would never
attend a service. These activities could include: sports, scavenger hunts,
movie nights, overnighters, theme parks, live music, etc… and will
be announced through: the “Events Link” on the Youth Ministry
Homepage, flyers, mail-outs, and in the weekly church bulletin.
E Cubed
Environment: Discipleship
Description: Equipping ministry utilized in growing students into spiritual
maturity, giving them the tools necessary to study and rightly divide God’s
Word.
Student Ministry

Environment: Ministry
Description: Groups developed to train and include students in performing
weekly organization and operation of services.
While we have a large number of students actively
involved in our ministry, we have many ways for it
to “feel” small. Please don’t be
afraid to ask for help…if I can’t help,
someone on our team can and will do whatever possible
to help your family.
